Creating a shipping label

Important note:
When you create a shipment in DPD Shipper, you have to use the label within the next 10 days. It's not allowed to use labels that are older than 10 days.
It's also not allowed to reprint or re-use an old label to create a new shipment, even if it's to the same person. A new shipment must be created.


To create a shipment in DPD Shipper, click on "Shipments" on the left and then on "New shipment order".




Here you enter all the details of the recipient. If you will send with predict notification (view products below), the e-mail address or mobile phone number must be filled in. By default, Shipper is set up so that your receiver is saved from the first time you make a shipment.

Tip: The field name acts as a search field. Once you have entered 4 characters, the application searches in your list of recipients. If you have already sent to this recipient before, all information will be filled in automatically.


Base data

Product: chose which product to use to create your shipment.

Custom sender: check this box to send packages under another name.

Collection request: more information on collection request can be found here.

Pickup date: Caution! The field "Collection Date" is purely indicative here, and will only be used for track and trace purposes. To have your packages picked up, you must request a driver after creating your shipment. Click here for more information.

Note: can be used to leave a note to the driver.

Number of parcels: will determine how many labels will be printed.


Possible products are:

Here you can enter the details of the packages.
If you send more than 1 package you can choose to give all packages the same reference and / or the same weight by clicking on the corresponding checkmark.


Additional services

Here you can check extra services such as Saturday delivery or standard return label with your shipment.



Saving shipment


When all required fields are filled in, the buttons at the bottom will be active. If these remain inactive then there is probably a required field that has not yet been completed. Then check if there are still fields in red.

Save: Your shipment will be saved and you will return to your shipment list.

Save and new: Your shipment will be saved and you can immediately create a new shipment.

Print and new: Your shipment will be saved and printed and you can immediately create a new shipment.


Printing a shipment happens via PDF. Your browser will create a PDF and download it. You will have to open it in order to print it. In Chrome (recommended) you will find this in the bottom of your screen.


The label will be displayed and you’ll be able to print it.
